A Mourning Star Share New Single

Metalcore traditionalists A MOURNING STAR have released "Would It Be Easier If My Flesh Tangled Through This Blade”, the latest single from their forthcoming debut album A Reminder Of The Wound Unhealed. As evidenced by their elongated titles, the band draws influence from the early 2000's era of metalcore like Poison The Well or 7 Angels 7 Plagues. You can hear it in their sound too!

Vocalist Elijah Robinson expands on the tracks lyrics, "I was inspired to write the lyrics to the single last year when I chopped off the tip of my finger making dinner. I went to the hospital and there wasn’t really shit they could do for me because I chopped the tip clean off , I couldn’t get stitches or anything. When I got back to my house the bloody scene was still on the counter and my fingertip was sitting there . The imagery was jarring and I just started writing shit down , but the song is basically a metaphor to me about the long process of personal healing and the frustrations that come with it "
