Blackhouse Records Re-Issue Tender Fury's Final Album

Blackhouse Records Ltd. is a favorite here at GettingItOut.net for several reasons. One of which, is the label's mission to re-issue long out-of-print and largely unrecognized classics.
In 2022, it was Oxbow's Let Me Be A Woman. Which led to a conversation with the inimitable frontman and artist, Eugene S. Robinson on episode 208 of Getting It Out Podcast.
This year Blackhouse boss Scott Rozell is back in the archives to bring us a remastered and reconstructed re-issue of TENDER FURY's final album If Anger Were Soul, I’d Be James Brown originally released on Triple X Records.
These last recordings that became the band’s final record consisted of a powerhouse lineup of Jack Grisham (TSOL, The Joykiller), Randy Bradbury (Pennywise), Josh Freese (Vandals, Devo, Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters), and Frank Agnew (Adolescents, 45 Grave).
I know no one likes to use the term, but that's a punk rock supergroup if there ever were one. The trouble is, many may have overlooked this groundbreaking classic. Until now, thanks to Rozell and Blackhouse.
If Anger Were Soul, I'd Be James Brown was produced by Ron Champagne (Jane’s Addiction, Excel, Alice in Chains, fIREHOSE), and remastered by Scott Rozell (N8Noface, Toe Tag, Moral Crux, Scatterbox, Ras Kass). The cover art was reconstructed featuring the original photography by Edward Colver. A limited run of 500 made (4 color versions), is now available for pre-order via Blackhouse Records Ltd HERE.
