Tekulvi Drop New Single "Transmission"

Chicago emo pioneers TEKULVI have premiered "Transmission," the latest single from the upcoming reissue of their 2002 EP In Recognition of Your Significant Accomplishments. Originally released on Divot Records, the new version will include previously unreleased material, remastered audio, and a refreshed presentation of the original artwork, courtesy of Expert Work Records on May 20th.
The band comments on the track, "Musically its both tight and dissonant. Lyrically it deals with cognitive dissonance and conflicting thoughts. Sometimes dissonance, off kilter ideas, and tight rhythms are a thing of beauty!"
“Tekulvi was always on my shortlist of bands I wanted to work with,” Justin Nardy of Expert Work Records recalls. “That EP never got the vinyl treatment it deserved. When I saw the band was active again, I reached out, and to my surprise, they had no plans to release it—so I offered. We decided to expand the record by including unreleased tracks, making it feel more like a full LP.”
