08/15/25 | [dcraley]The new single, which will appear on Process Of Elimination, follows the band’s critically lauded 2023 release of Endless Torment EP. Musically, the record serves as a continuation and progression, while thematically, it often touches on DEAD HEAT’s disdain for the powers that be.
“Lyrically, I wanted to touch on a bit of everything, with every song about a different topic,” notes vocalist Chris Ramos. “I feel like I was able to articulate a better understanding of what I was trying to express previously.”
“‘By My Will’ is more or less about the idea of getting revenge on the ones who’ve hurt you and left you for dead,” he continues on today’s single. “The message sent is basically that I now have the upper hand and ‘by my will’ I will come out as the one on top in the end and make sure you know it.”
