SPECIES is a technical thrash metal trio from Warsaw, Poland. The band was formed in October 2018. After a couple of months of rehearsals, the band recorded their debut EP, entitled The Monument of Envy, which was then self-released on May 31st, 2019. On the very same day, SPECIES played their first-ever show in their hometown. Drawing inspirations from the cult thrash metal acts like CORONER, TOXIK, or XENTRIX and prog rock legends such as KING CRIMSON, RUSH, and YES, SPECIES continued writing material for their first LP alongside playing gigs in Poland. In 2021, the band entered Sunstorm Studio in Warsaw to record their debut full-length album "TO FIND DELIVERANCE", which was released on August 26th, 2022 on Awakening Records. On December 23, 2023 SPECIES self-released their first live album entitled "Live at 2KOLA".
