Damokles Premiere New Single "Waterworks"

Getting It Out is proud to present the exclusive worldwide premiere of "Waterworks," the latest single from the forthcoming album A Trophy Collection, by Norwegian post-punk artists DAMOKLES. The serial killer concept album is scheduled for release later this year via Sect Appeal Records, but the official date has yet to be determined.

The band comments on the track, "Our antagonist, a tender boy on the brink of adulthood, lurks in the forest, plotting that first crucial kill. It needs to be perfect, just like his beautiful prey. Day in and day out, the same restless routine. Nights come with romantic fever dreams, yearning to unwrap his wonderful flesh offering. Memorizing every single step. Waiting for his move. Longing to unleash the ghastly waterworks of sweet, sweet tears. The clock is ticking."

WATERWORKS
Tick tock
Preaching, to the inverted
Can I get a witness?
I’ve got systems for tombs

Can I get a witness?

I’m about to spread these leaves
Just to memorize a tiny glimpse
This I will never unsee
Amongst my guardians, the trees

I know your exact jogging route
The time of when you’ll pass me
Rebook shoes, on tarmac mist
Well built torso, a certain walk

I’ve got my eyeballs on you
Came prepared for this stalk

I want a taste of the waterworks

Just slip a taste of the waterworks

I want to see you

What you look like
Inside your skin

What makes you tick

A flick of the switch

A twitch of the neck

I want a taste of the waterworks

Just slip a taste of the waterworks

I want to see

What makes you tick

Tick tock
