The prolific post-punk project LOTUS THRONES is inching towards the release of The Heretic Souvenir on April 7th. Today, the band has revealed the sophomore album's third single "Roses" via music video courtesy of Disorder Recordings and Seeing Red Records.
Lead by multi-instrumentalist, Heath Rave, Lotus Thrones combines the sounds presented on their previously released seasonal EP series on The Heretic Souvenir. The seven-track record best described as industrial includes flourishes of post-metal, synth-wave, doom, and straight-up rock and roll.
Rave comments on the track, “Roses” is inspired by my love for my daughter and the journey we’ve been and since she came into the world. While many roads have changed and the map is more complex, the most important thing in my day-to-day life is her and she made me want to write a big goddamn rock song.”
