Chicago noise rock trio SALVATION have revealed the details and first single off their upcoming fifth album The Haunted, to be released on October 16th via Reptilian Records. The ten-track effort was recorded in their hometown with Taylor Hales at Electrical Audio and at Palisade Studios with Erik Rasmussen, who also handled mixing and mastering. Alongside Ceyda Tekin's cover photo artwork, they have also released the full tracklist and lead single "Already Dead."
Vocalist/guitarist Jason Sipe comments, "I wrote this song about a dream where I kept waking up over and over through a constant loop of life and death. I couldn't figure out what was life and what was death, and what was waking or dreaming. A fun fact about the song is that I wrote it about a week before we recorded it, taught it to the guys while we were in the studio working on the record. They wrote their parts in twenty minutes and we hit record!"
