Upstate Records is kicking off 2025 with the signing of Richmond, Virginia's HEAVY IS THE HEAD to release their debut EP, For Your Loss, on March 21st on CD and digital platforms worldwide. The first single is expected to drop soon!
The metallic hardcore heavyweights who got started in 2021 were briefly derailed by the passing of founding member Nick Rockefeller. Now back on track, the band have vowed to continue on in his memory.
Vocalist Kendal Hall comments, "This whole album is a sum of the grieving process of five people dealing with the loss of a best friend. With that loss comes a jaded view of the world and we struggle daily with finding the light in the sea of hypocrisy and doubt. Staying positive and moving forward is the only way though and that's what we are trying our best every day to do."
