New Around Here
It's time for another round of introductions! The eight bands featured below are the latest additions to the artist pages here on GettingItOut.net. As usual, all of your favorite genres are covered and just because they are new to the site, does not mean they are new to the world. Hopefully, you will find a new band to you in the list below and that band will wet your whistle or tickle your fancy. There's only one way to find out!
Capsule
What is it? Chaotic hardcore out of Miami featuring current and former members of Torche, Wrong, and Kylesa. New EP Ferox was released in mid-December and it's their first new material in a decade. These vets do not simply adhere to the confines of hardcore as evidenced my the new three-song genre bending tracks.

Eihwar
What is it? A mysterious viking duo from France who recently signed with Season Of Mist Records. They call their sound "Viking War Trance" and it would be hard to argue against that. This is distinctly European fare.

Gravenoire
What is it? Another recent Season Of Mist Records signee from France, GRAVENOIRE play what's best described as 90's style black metal. With one live recorded EP titled Devant la porte des étoiles under their bullet belts, the band has set a high bar for their next release.

Hebephrenique
What is it? An Australian duo performing an unorthodox combination of technical death metal and raw violent black metal. They released their latest EP Non Compos Mentis this past Halloween and they couldn't have picked a more appropriate date. The five track effort has a skin crawling sound. The band sounds like it is going to fall apart at any moment and they're doing all the damage to themselves.

Iron Front
What is it? Slam obsessed metallic hardcore that we might be better off calling death metal. Does that make sense? It will when you listen to the band for the first time. They are young, but have been around for quite awhile as they originally formed in 2016 as Dire Wolves. They changed monikers in 2019, released several recordings, and will drop their sophomore LP titled Hooked via Creator-Destructor Records on January 12th.

No Terror In The Bang
What is it? Progressive and cinematic. That's how the band describes themselves and it's hard to argue. There is a lot to the sound of this French six-piece and their depth makes it hard to pin down a genre or reasonable comparison. The progressive elements bring Devin Townsend to mind, but when things get heavy (and they often do), it'd be acceptable to reference nu-metal or contemporaries like Jinjer. However, the best option is to listen to their new album Heal when it drops on January 12th and call it whatever you want!

Pessimist
What is it? A premiere death metal band from Baltimore formed all the way back in the early 90's. Now, the band's lineup includes founder/guitarist Kelly McLauchlin (I Am Morbid, Possessed, etc.), new bassist recruit Andrew Bowen (Carnal Necrosis), and vocalist Ivan Alison aka “The Evil One” (Black Mass). They'll be touring Europe in May alongside Italy's Reaping Flesh.

Resin Tomb
What is it? Dissonant deathgrind out of Australia with a new LP titled Cerebral Purgatory on the way in January courtesy of Transcending Obscurity Records. The band has crafted their sound on two previous EPs and is ready to unleash their thick and sludgy death metal worldwide on the new album. Recommended for fans of Terra Builder, Vermin Womb, & Replicant.
